Course Description: Designed
for all health-care professionals, this unique 2-week course includes
both an intensive general Spanish program plus a medically oriented
Spanish program.
In the first week, students participate in 20 lessons
to improve their general knowledge of Spanish and 10 additional
classes focusing on medical terminology and information. In the
second week, students focus entirely on Medical Spanish, including
a visit to a hospital.
The specific course content includes essential grammar,
the alphabet, numbers, dimensions, colors, time expressions, useful
greetings and expressions, procedures, rehabilitation, conversations
with patients, parts of the human body, admission data, the medical
history, and the physical examination.
The group size is limited to a maximum of 16 students
per class. The required expertise to enroll is intermediate.
