Contest Rules

Please read these rules carefully.

1) All entries have the same chance of winning.
2) No one will know the winner until after the quarterly contest ends.
3) Entry is free.
4) Enter as often as you like by using the form on this website.
5) Buying will not help you win. Chances of winning are the same without a purchase as with a purchase.
6) Entry Deadlines: 11:59 p.m. (MT) on December 31, March 31, June 30, or September 30. Late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, or illegible entries will not be accepted and are the responsibility of the entrant.
7) One winner for each contest is determined at random by a blinded drawing from all accepted entries received for each quarterly contest.
8) Drawings take place on the business day closest to January 4, April 4, July 5, and October 4. All drawings are final. Winners will be notified within 5 business days of the drawing via e-mail.
9) Odds of winning depend on the number of accepted entries.
10) An entry is deemed acceptable if the suggestion, which accompanies the entry, will be used as a part of an updated version of the Complete Medical Spanish Compendium and has not already been added to one of these books by the publisher. All additions and changes are dated by the publisher. All suggestions become the property of the publisher and can be used at the publisher’s discretion, no matter whether the entrant becomes the winner. All suggestions are considered to be work-made-for-hire, and entrants hereby waive all right to credit, compensation, copyright, and royalties as a result of the use of their suggestion(s).
11) All entries will receive a confirmation of entry and a decision as to the suggestion’s acceptability within 5 business days of receipt of the entry with its suggestion. All correspondence with an entrant takes place via e-mail only.
12) Illegible, incomplete, mutilated, mechanically produced or reproduced, or paper entries are unacceptable.
13) Entry forms subject to tampering or obtained or submitted via illegal means are unacceptable.
14) Liability for an irregular entry form is limited to replacement with another.

15) Stockholders, owners, or employees, as well as relatives and household members of such persons or entities, of Medical Spanish Mercado, LLC are not eligible to win any contest. Judges, drawing personnel, advertising or promotion agencies, as well as employees and relatives and household members of such persons or entities, are not eligible to win any contest.
16) Contest is open to all residents of the United States and Canada and all other countries where offered and permitted by law.
17) One award is guaranteed to be awarded with each quarterly contest.
18) Winner of each contest receives a PDA, also known as a personal digital assisstant. The type, features, brand, operating system, and model are at the discretion of Medical Spanish Mercado, LLC.
19) The following are the responsibility of any winner of any contest: all taxes, inconvenience of any kind, other related expenses, manufacturer's warranties, guarantees, repair, replacement if damaged in any way or by any means, and any other fees not related to paragraph 18 above.
20) This agreement is between the contest winner and Medical Spanish Mercado, LLC and not between the winner and the owners, shareholders, or employees of Medical Spanish Mercado, LLC.

21) Medical Spanish Mercado, LLC assumes no liability for the enjoyment or lack thereof of any winner with regard to the function of the PDA or any other aspect associated with the winning of any contest.
22) Use and misuse of the PDA are the responsibility of the winner.
23) Medical Spanish Mercado, LLC will not reimburse the winner for travel or other expenses related to the winning of this contest.
24) Medical Spanish Mercado, LLC is liable only for the reimbursement of expenses as indicated above. With regard to the winning prize, Medical Spanish Mercado, LLC is not liable for any loss of life, limb, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness; accident; theft; act of war; act of God; weather circumstance or damage; act of terror; illness; disease; epidemic; travel delays or cancellations; police action; immigration violations; legal violations; or any other known or unknown adverse or illegal circumstance, which has or may occur in the future, to any winner of any contest.
25) Winner may be required to sign and return, via Federal Express, an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release, as well as a Publicity Release, where permissible, within 14 days of the winning notification.
26) All entrants must be over 18 years of age at the date of their entry and must have read, understood, and agreed to comply fully with these rules.

27) Costs for goods or services not specified are the winner’s responsibility.
28) No substitution of prizes is permitted.
29) Except where prohibited by law, winners consent to the use of their names, hometowns, prizes won, and likeness for promotional purposes without additional compensation.
30) Contest is void where prohibited by law.
31) All federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations apply.
32) Prize values in U.S. currency only.
33) No transfer or assignment of prizes is permitted.
34) Winners are responsible for all taxes on or associated with prizes.
35) U.S. laws govern all aspects of this contest.
36) Medical Spanish Mercado, LLC reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the contest or associated promotion if either becomes technically corrupted.
37) Canadian residents, to win, must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill testing question administered by mail. Any litigation regarding the conduct and awarding of a prize in this contest by a resident of the province of Quebec may be submitted to the Regie des alcohols, des courses et des jeux.
38) Medical Spanish Mercado, LLC is not responsible for any prize forfeited due to failure to meet a deadline or failure to comply with contest entry specifics or rules stated herein.
39) The publisher of Sinkinson’s Medical Spanish Series books reserves the right to use any suggestion submitted, without compensation, copyright, or royalty paid to the entrant: whether the entry form is complete or incomplete, the entrant is identifiable not identifiable, or the entry complies or non-complies with the specifics and rules of this contest.
40) Medical Spanish Mercado, LLC reserves the right to change the specifics and rules of this contest at the completion of any quarterly contest.
